Shetland ponies originated in the Shetland Isles, off the coast of Scotland in the United Kingdom. Standing between 70 centimetres and one metre tall, the Shetland pony is absolutely tiny, but what they lack in stature they make up for in spirit (and cuteness)! With long thick manes, thick coats and sturdy bodies, they're perfectly suited for the conditions on the Scottish Isles.
