Hoselink Connectors Are Guaranteed To Never Burst Off Your Hose

Hoselink No-Burst Fittings

If you’re tired of leaking, bursting hose fittings, then you’ve come to the right place. Install our patented fittings on your hose and enjoy a 100% watertight connection that you can rely on. That means no more worrying about wasted water and no sudden surprises from bursting hoses!

Click-On vs. Hoselink

‘Click-on Style’ Fittings

This system for connecting garden hoses has been around for years but whether made from plastic or brass, they often fail. We’ve talked to hundreds of thousands of people about hose fittings and everyone seems to have had a fitting that failed, which is never fun!

Click-On Fittings
Problems with 'Click-On Style' Fittings
  • Retention claws that break or bend
  • Weak grip on the hose inside connector
  • Poor connection between male & female connectors results in leaking
  • High pressure can easily burst fittings apart
  • Male & female ends means special connector is needed to join hoses

Hoselink Hose Fittings

Hoselink has developed a completely unique design that is more reliable and longer lasting than traditional hose fitting systems. Hoselink fittings will never burst off in your hand or at the tap, are easy to connect and will give you a completely different watering experience.

Hoselink Fittings On Tap
Innovative Hoselink Fittings
  • Watertight o’ring to o’ring seal between connectors
  • Reliable bayonet connection between fittings
  • Identical face on every connector joins to one another
  • Ergonomic bayonet point & twist to connect
  • Split ring & barbed stem grips the hose & won’t let go
  • Screw in thread to accessory won’t leak
  • Screw on thread to tap won’t leak

Why You’ll Love Hoselink

With Hoselink fittings on your hose, you’ll not only save water, you’ll never have to worry about the hassle of leaking, bursting hose fittings again. Hoselink’s patented design solves a problem many people have come to take for granted when watering their garden.

Turning the Tap

Reliable

Hoselink is the only hose fitting that is guaranteed to never burst off your hose. Hoselink fittings have been engineered to withstand very high water pressure, up to 500psi. A household with strong water pressure would only be around 100psi, so you can be completely confident in your hose fittings.

Easy to Use

Hoselink fittings connect with a simple point and twist motion. This ergonomic design means even those suffering from arthritis can get back to enjoying their gardens.

Join Hoses with Ease

As every connector has an identical face, you can confidently join one hose end to another without the need for an additional part. You can also be 100% confident they’ll never burst apart.

Save Water

With no leaks and no unexpected bursts, you can trust Hoselink fittings to save you water. Hoselink fittings have even been approved by the Smart WaterMark, which certifies water efficient products in Australia.

Durability

Hoselink fittings are made from durable nylon with UV protection and can be expected to last for many years, even in extreme conditions. We’ve had reports of customers from our early days in the late 90’s still using their original fittings!

Hoselink provides you with a 3 year warranty on our standard hose fittings (Universal Tap Connector, Hose End Connector and Accessory Connector) and a 12 month warranty on the Hose Connector with Flow Control and the Accessory Connector with Swivel.

How to Adapt

There is one simple principle to understand about adapting to Hoselink – any accessory or device with a screw thread can be attached for a no-burst connection.

Got a sprinkler? See if you can unscrew the ‘click-on style’ fitting. Same goes for pressure washers and sprayers. Once you’ve got a thread to connect to, you can attach one of 2 Hoselink fittings depending on whether it has a male or female thread.

If you’re stuck with the ‘click-on style’ fitting because it’s glued or molded in, then our Click-on Adapter will get you out of trouble.

In addition to purchasing your first starter kit, hose or hose reel, we recommend also getting an extra Universal Tap Connector, Accessory Connector and Click-on Adapter so you can make any connection.

Installation

Hoselink is now available in 2 versions to fit both 12mm and 18mm garden hoses. It’s easy to install Hoselink fittings onto your garden hose in a few simple steps and once they’re on, they won’t let go.

Technology

It’s because of Hoselink’s advanced design technology that we are confident enough to make our no-burst guarantee. ‘Click-on style’ fittings have been around for years but are known for a two major problems which are solved with Hoselink’s revolutionary design.

1: How to keep the hose end locked in the connector.

2: How to ensure fittings don’t come apart from each other.

Solution 1

Inside the Hose End Connector, the hose is locked in place securely over a barbed stem. A white split ring is compressed over the outside of the hose, whilst inside the hose it is gripped by the barb. This dual action makes it impossible for the hose to burst out of the fitting.

Solution 2

The fittings lock together by way of a bayonet connection. A watertight seal is achieved by an o’ring to o’ring seal that has never before been used for hose fittings. O’rings normally obtain a seal by either the outside or inside diameter sealing against a hard surface but Hoselink developed a method of sealing the face of one o’ring against the face of another o’ring.

Product Testing

Over the years, Hoselink has carried out numerous tests to prove how superior Hoselink Garden Hose Connectors are, in comparison to any other hose connection system available.

Testing Summary

The CSIRO testing results proved that Hoselink fittings could be subject to extremely high water pressure (Over 200 PSI) and they would never burst off the tap or hose. Bearing in mind the average Australian garden tap pressure is usually in the range of 30-100 PSI.

The USA Testing proved that when Hoselink Fittings were subject to two months of continuous water flow, consisting of different temperatures and water pressures, it was far superior to the old, unreliable click-on style fitting. These fittings, on average, lasted approximately 2.5hours, while the Hoselink Fittings were still in perfect working condition after 2 months!

CSIRO Testing

Hoselink commissioned the CSIRO to carry out rigorous testing of the Hoselink Hose Fittings Range. The following tests were conducted:

  • Hydrostatic Pressure Tests
  • Longitudinal Load Test
  • Bending Moment Test

The purpose of these tests was to determine:

  • Maximum pressure the fittings would absorb (to destruction)
  • Maximum pressure at which leakage occurred
  • The performance of the Hose Retention system
  • The ability of the product to absorb pressure applied at right angles (to a hose being pulled when fully extended)

In summary the testing produced the following Results:

  • The pressures absorbed by Hoselink, before destruction, far exceeded the pressures that any normal Australian taps would ever experience.
  • More often than not, the hose would split open before our fittings broke.

USA Testing

The Product Testing Engineer at Dayco Inc. in USA, undertook the following testing with remarkable results.

Hoselink fittings were tested by connecting a hose to a tank that generated continuous cycles of water throughout the day, without interruptions, for up to 480 cycles per day.

The tank runs cycles of both hot and cold water. Hot water ranged from 120 - 140 Degrees F, while cold water was generally anything less than 80 degrees F.

One cycle, of 3 minutes, consists of the following flows of water:

  • 30 seconds of flow through water at zero pressure (cold water).
  • 1 minute at 100 PSI cold water.
  • 30 seconds of flow through water at zero pressure (hot water).
  • 1 minute at 100 PSI hot water.

The three minutes cycles continued without interruption for the full day, a total of 480 times per day.

To create a good comparison, the conventional, old, click-on style fitting were also subject to the above testing.

Test Results

The testing period consisted of 30,000 cycles (Approximately 2 months continuously).

The results reported, the conventional old click-on style fittings survived less than 50 cycles.

Hoselink, on the other hand, was still working perfectly at the end of 30,000 cycles. During the testing period, approximately 60 hoses split, cracked or broke under the pressure, while Hoselink Fittings never burst off the hose, nor did they break!
