I love white flowers because they remind me of summer and fresh air, and they have a lovely calming effect in the home. I have selected 6 classic white flowers to share with you this week.  To help you with your future cultivation of these flowers please refer to the US Plant Hardiness Zone Map and the AU Plant Hardiness Zone Map to determine if the flower will be suited to your region.

The Scabiosa is a summer bloomer that not only comes in white but also purple and shades of blue. The Scaboisa is an interesting looking flower often referred to as the pincushion flower. Interesting fact this flower is a butterfly magnet!

An elegant and versatile flower that grows well outdoors or indoors. Calla Lilies come a range of colours from white, to purple, pink, and yellow.  Be sure to water these flowers well and add fertilizer to keep them looking pretty.

Big, bright and beautiful blooms is what everyone loves about Hydrangeas. They come in a several colours from white, pale pink, blue and purple.  An abundance of white Hydrangeas will be sure to brighten up your garden!

Daffodils have a star shaped background giving them that special eye-catching sparkle in your garden. A childhood favourite to quite a few and the Daffodil symbolises friendship. Daffodils are well known for being bright yellow flowers however they come in white and a combination of yellow and white with a hint of pink sometimes.

Magnolias have been picked for their elegant blooms and fragrance. By far one my favourite flowers for being so exquisite in its appearance. One downside to these beauties is that a magnolia tree drops large leafs throughout the year which can be very messy.

We can grow all these flowers in WA but we're not mentioned. Just like everywhere WA does't exist except when trying to sell us something
